Wordpress Database

What they do:

  • Backup your content anytime
  • Restore or move your website anytime

One year ago, I write how to make fast and secure way to complete WordPress backups. This year, it is very important to make easy and fast wordpress (website) backup. So, which one is the better:

Vaultpress vs Backupbuddy

  • Vaultpress: the people behind WordPress and Akismet are behind this database project, which is still in beta. It is not free. What is advantage for VaultPress, it watches for any changes to your site and then automatically and immediately backs up those changes.
  • Backupbuddy: Also commercial plug-in with a one-time cost. BackupBuddy basically does backups either on demand or  schedule.

This is the great website that explain everything: http://www.expand2web.com/blog/back-up-wordpress-website-blog

Favicon: How To

Open up your browser to your website or blog, look to the left of the url. There’s a little picture to the left of your website url, and my friends that is favicon. It’s a small detail that can be overlooked, yet so easy to create. One of the most great feelings, great satisfactions, but someone will be saying “what you talking about man” is when you get yourself favicon.

For me, favicon is something like little icon, some small passport (little icon) of your website.

How to upload favicon to your website account? I will tell you how to upload (to add) and how to make it one.

A Favicon means your favorite icon, also known as a shortcut icon, Web site icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon. This is a file which containing one or more small icons, most commonly 16×16 pixels, associated with a particular Web site or Web page. A web administrator can create such an icon and install it into a Web site (or Web page) by several means, and graphical web browsers will then make use of it. Browsers that provide favicon support typically display a page’s favicon in the browser’s address bar and next to the page’s name in a list of bookmarks. Browsers that support a tabbed document interface typically show a page’s favicon next to the page’s title on the tab, and site-specific browsers use the favicon as desktop icon

WordPress Plug Ins – You Must Have It in 2012

This is the lecture of the basic and essential plug ins that every wordpress site (blog) must have it.

What are Plugins? In computers era, a plug-in (or plugin) is a set of added value on software components. It adds specific abilities to a larger software application. If supported, plug-ins enable customizing the functionality of an application. For example, plug-ins are commonly used in web browsers to play video, scan for viruses, and display new file types. The most famous plug-ins examples include Adobe Flash Player, QuickTime, and Microsoft Silverlight. This is plug ins for web browsers (like Mozzila, Internet Explorer).

In WordPress, this is the same function. Little software that help big one to do additional functions.

In wordpress, you can install every plug in, in 2 different ways:

  • Click on Add New button in plugin section in wordpress panel. And then you can search for plug in you want it. Below every plug in you have two options: Details and Install now. Than, there is a question? “Are you sure you want to install plug in? Yes. And then Activate Plug In.
  • Download plug in on your computer. Unrar it. Upload the full directory into your wp-content/plugins directory by your favorite FTP program. And then in back panel in section plugins, activate it (plugin administration page).
They have one whole section (tab) for Plug Ins in WordPress Panel. Plugins tab in administration panel.
  • Installed Plugins
